Doggie Issues!!

Giovani sitting calm near the vacuum, I never thought I would see the day. Unfortunately some dogs fear certain objects such as, balloons, leaves, bags and yes even vacuums. In some dogs this can be fear, stress or anxiety. Giovani is a nervous Chihuahua or I should say he was, now he is well socialized and at the age of two is a bit calmer. Part of his socialization consisted of puppy class, riding bike, swimming, long walks, being introduced properly to children and trips to pet supply stores for meets and greets with other dogs. Had Giovani not received proper training early on he would be one barking, possessive ankle biting boy. He is very sweet and sociable loves to stop and say hi to people and other dogs and he has become a real cuddle bug. Some people seem to think this type of behavior is amusing and at first glance I can understand why, however it really only displays stress in the dog.
As you can see in this video he is highly stressed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG4BiNzSnJE after months of training, managing him and rewarding him for positive behavior when using the vacuum Giovani has moved passed his fear of the vacum and many other objects. Bearing in mind what works for one dog may not work for another it is key to find and use the techniques and styles for each indivaul dog. We all should evalutate our own behvior and how it may effect our dogs behaviors. Great work Gio your are the sweetest loving Chihuahua boy ever!

Hey! I loved your post; it’s better than 90% of the other blog posts I read (and I mean it)! I didn’t see a contact form so I hope you don’t mind me posting here. My hubby insisted that I offer you some advice. Both of us have been into blogging since 2007, so it’s safe to say we’re a bit talented and skillful. Both of us live extremely comfortably just by posting on our blogs. I wanted to let you know there’s a couple changes you can make to your blog that would increase revenue by AT LEAST triple whatever you’re making right now! There’s this site called http://alturl.com/edo8e – it tripled (almost even quadrupled!) the revenue for all my blogs. The tool will actually send targeted traffic to YOUR blog. I had Google AdSense on my blog and I went from making $2-5 a day to $100-200 a day within one week! Cool, huh? Yesterday I even made a whopping $331 when I setup two more blogs and used the software on them! I just learned about it a few weeks ago and I never plan on running a blog without it again.

It was a process over time, and in increments. Probably after a month he was done attacking the vacumm.
